I fuckin' hate art. It's a pretentious mask used by dumb people to be seen as something they're not. I'm referring more to modern art here. I can see the glory of a portrait, or a sculpture or something like that. It is surely now more for heritage reasons that you would choose a method such as this to document yourself, rather than a modern technology, but I can appreciate that. What I hate is modern art. Here's why.
If you're a clever person whom specialises in science for example, you can talk to other scientists. You have your weird little science language that no one else understands, but you have your specialisation. If you're a computer specialist, you can talk to other computer geeks and have your weird little computer language that no one else understands. Both of these examples are very respectable and show a degree of intelligence, even if I do knock both for other reasons. Now lets take a dumb person. A dumb person who wants to look clever. They want to look clever, but they can't talk to the scientist about science. They don't understand the language. They can't talk to the computer geek, they don't understand the language. So what do they do? They make up a language to talk to try and look clever. The language of modern art.
Any idiot can look at a load of colours splashed on a canvas, and make up a story about it. I am right now looking at my curtains in front of me and
feel that the orange colour represents the happiness of sunlight even at nightime, where as the creases show that the daytime is filled with
unexpected bumps and misfortunes. Seriously, what the fuck do artists take us for? This is where the wanting to look clever comes into things.
Lacking a real discipline that they can exemplify, dumb fuckers instead make one up. I keep on getting invited to a Facebook group protesting an
"artist" who ties up a dog and lets it starve to death. This is art? People seem to think that if they can do the weirdest thing they can,
then it is classed as art. Look at this image from the Pompidou Center in Paris. Some idiot has put some blank canvases on a wall and called it art.
He probably couldn't think of what to draw. Yet some mugs will pay to see this. What the hell happened to the days where people like this were put
in mental homes, or fed to the lions, or shot? Now these are acceptable actions of a sane person? It really is beyond me.
What's worse is someone
will probably end up paying a hefty sum for these blank canvases. Why not just come and see me jackass. I'll sell you a blank canvas for half the
price.
Art is the language of intelligence for people too dumb to be intelligent at anything real. It gives them some strange satisfaction to be viewed as intelligent; and so many mugs buy into it. When you're a kid, you just throw paint at a bit of paper. This is all most modern art is, unless like the image above, the artist forgot to buy the paint. A 5 year old can do modern art. Yet some people consider it their finesse. Wake up jackass. You're trying to look clever by doing what most people do before they start school. It's a pretentious mask there to provide people with cover when they lack the intellect to specialise in anything real. And it pisses me the fuck off. Especially, like in the Facebook group I alerted to, it leads to the torture of harmless animals.
